About the Thomas Jefferson District of the Unitarian Universalist Association

About the Thomas Jefferson District of the Unitarian Universalist Association
One of the 19 districts in the Unitarian Universalist Assocation (UUA), the Thomas Jefferson District (TJD) collaborates with congregational leaders to strengthen congregations and expand the presence of Unitarian Universalism in the five-state region of North and South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia. More than 10,000 adults and 3,000 children and youth Unitarian Universalists are represented in sixty-two member congregations in this region.

TJD is a partnership of its member congregations, ministers and professional staff, district staff, consultants, volunteers and the TJD Board of Directors.

TJD Vision
We are a vibrant, diverse faith community of healthy congregations that is a prophetic model of anti-racism and anti-oppression. We are called to collaborate with other faith and community groups to transform our society.

Adopted at the TJD Annual Meeting of Congregations, April 2007
